Let You Go: Homie Clothing x Kimmie

A collaboration between Homie Clothing and Kimmie, with dancers wearing the heavyweight hoodie collection.
A launch film for HoMie Clothing's heavyweight hoodie collection, capturing dancers in the new drop performing a routine choreographed by Kimmie Choi.
The Challenge
Show a new clothing drop in motion. The garments had to stay the focus while a full choreography played out, so the camera needed to move with the dancers and still read the product clearly.
How We Approached It
Some shots were planned in rehearsals using a phone, and the camera movement and blocking for others was pre-visualised on the day. The dancers performed several takes of the same song so a variety of angles and speeds could be cut together.
The visual reference was the music videos of the 2000s. To capture that energy, the gaffer synced the lighting to the music so the strobing complemented the rhythm.
What Made It Special
Light and rhythm working together. Lighting cues were timed to the track, so the edit could lean on the music as much as the movement.
The Reality
Delivered as the launch film for the HoMie Clothing heavyweight hoodie collection, with thanks to creative director Marcus Crook.
