The Brief
Esquire Malaysia planned the story for print and online: six to eight images and 30 to 45 seconds of video, all in Polo Ralph Lauren. My part was the moving image, a short film that could sit beside the photography and stand on its own.
How We Approached It
The shoot ran across a single afternoon with no break, so the video had to come from set-ups that worked quickly alongside the stills. We built the edit from close details of the tailoring, wide frames up in the trees, a portrait among the leaves and blurred movement across the lawn.
What Made It Special
Carlton Gardens gave a layered, natural backdrop of old trees and heritage buildings, a good match for Polo Ralph Lauren's classic tailoring.
